![]() Luckily, final boss timing guide come to rescue! I would strongly recommend you to download the video and play it offline to avoid any network latency or video lag. The final boss seems impossible to beat, especially the part where the screen went completely dark. Depends on your performance, repeat this cycle 3 times should get you enough gold to buy all the weapons from the shop.Īfter purchasing all weapons, I was stuck at 98% completion! Thanks to this walkthrough by DraikTempest, you can refer to the weapon locations and mission list to see which one you are missing. Use Spear - demise's warning bell (from chest in Route C part 4)Įquip Sword - dark blood blade (37800G from shop), it helps building up the blood gauge faster.ĭo the 2nd Accord mission of the Desert 3 times, then do the payday mission. Meaning you need to collect tons of gold to buy all weapons from the shop, hunt down a bunch of treasure chests, and complete a handful of Accord's missions. You need to collect all weapons in order to unlock Route D. Here is some tips & tricks I found which helped me unlock & finish Route D. It was bad enough where I had to search online for help. ![]() ![]() It made the victory feel earned and really great.Yesterday I finally beat Drakengard 3. The problem with this boss is that it lasts too long, the beauty of drakengard1s rhythm boss was that it was just over a 2 minute gauntlet of hell which meant that you got killed and were trying again quickly, on top of that you were getting to the parts which fucked you over at a decent pace so you were actually able to learn and improve. In a way I really appreciate bosses that make you go HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THIS. We were both so angry the whole time but it was kind of thrilling being a pair of kids trying to persevere through what we though was impossible. However I remember 100%ing darkengard 1 and spending the better half of a week at the last boss with my friend just being totally at a loss on how to do the last bwbwbbwwbwbwbbwbwbww segment and eventually after trying enough we managed to get it down due to muscle memory. I never got around to playing drakengard 3 despite being super excited for it, and then I saw the messy performance problems for it so I said "nah im good". At least with Automata we know that killing the requisite several thousand dudes is actually going to be fun this time Taro Yoko and his team are obviously wildly creative people, and there are so many amazingly clever moments in his games, but they're padded out by so much mindless grinding, or schlepping about doing menial busywork, and then the occasional tacit admission that the developers hate you like that rhythm minigame. I loved Nier's characters and writing, loved the voice acting, loved the story (even if I hated having to spend ages reading the fan translation of Grimoire Nier to get the full story put it in the game, man), but boy was that game a slog to play. I got hyped up after the announcement of a Platinum-developed Nier sequel I'd heard bits and pieces about Nier and Drakengard over the years but I would probably never have played them myself if it weren't for wanting to be all caught up for Automata. Pretty much exactly how I felt playing Nier last year. Definitely worth a pickup, just skip the final fight, not worth it. Partly because getting through it isn't a complete chore, but I also found the character relations to be a lot more unique and endearing. I honestly think its a much better game than Nier. Despite all of its problems, I really like Drakengard 3. Taro Yoko and his team make interesting characters and stories, but they are out of their minds when it comes to game design. However, my time is precious to me, and I wasn't going to gain any satisfaction in slogging my way to victory. After so many attempts, I actually got pretty good at it without a guide. The story is pretty interesting and is full of characters who are a bit insane and have their own kinks. Some people have put up timing guides on youtube(spoilers) that can help you get the beats down better, but trying to sync your game to a laggy youtube video just introduces a whole different level of headaches. Drakengard 3 is a very enjoyable experience in comparison to the original title. The entire fight is 8 minutes long, and if you mess up once, you have to start the entire thing over (as well as watching a long unskippable cutscene). For whatever reason, the final section of the game is an abysmal rhythm game that is stupidly hard. The entire game is an average hack and slash adventure with the occasional Panzer Dragoon level. I honestly can't think of a final boss worse than this. I raged and just watched the ending on youtube, no regrets. Whelp, I got to the final boss of Drakengard 3 and tried to beat it for two hours.
